How does the cancellation policy works?

We require a 24 hours notice period to cancel or reschedule your appointment. If you cancel within this time period, you will be charged the full session fee. If you fail to arrive for your appointment, you will be charged the full fee of the session. Thank you for your understanding.

Do I need a GP referral or Mental Health Care Plan to access counselling?

Accepted Answer

No, you can access counselling and psychotherapy services without a GP referral. Counselling and Psychotherapy services are not currently funded by Medicare, and therefore a Mental Health Care Plan is not required.
 
One benefit of this, is that the waiting times are usually much shorter than accessing government funded/Medicare services and the option to access ongoing mental health support is available, rather than being capped at 10 sessions- which is the case with Medicare

Yes! Flexibility of access is important to me, to ensure sessions are accessible to all.

Do you accept health private funds?

Accepted Answer

Yes. As a Registered Counsellor, I am affiliated with various health insurance providers that cover counselling sessions, including BUPA, AHM, Medibank and ARHG.
​Please consult your private health insurance provider to determine if they cover counselling sessions, how much they will cover, and the number of sessions you are eligible for each year.

Your privacy is a priority. Everything shared in therapy is confidential and won’t be disclosed without your consent, except in rare legal situations like risk of harm. I follow strict ethical guidelines to ensure your personal information is secure and protected throughout our work together

How long are the counselling sessions?

Each session is 50 minutes duration. Longer appointments (e.g., up to 90 minutes) may be available with prior arrangement.  Times can vary for constellations and EMDR sessions.

How do the sessions work and how many sessions do i need?

The first appointment is primarily focussed on understanding what is happening for you and determining how we may be of assistance. The total number of sessions required will naturally depend on the nature of your concerns.
