As therapists, we recognize that while therapeutic techniques and interventions are important, the heart of psychological healing lies in the relationship between therapist and client. I have a strong emphasis on trauma-informed practices, ensuring that our work respects and acknowledges the impact of past experiences while fostering healing and growth. Relationship Counselling

EMDR Therapy

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a trauma-focused therapy designed to help people heal from the emotional distress caused by traumatic experiences. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR doesn’t require you to talk extensively about the trauma. Instead, it uses bilateral stimulation (like eye movements or tapping) to help the brain reprocess disturbing memories so that they no longer hold the same emotional intensity.

During an EMDR session, I guide you through recalling distressing events while using specific eye movements, taps, or sounds. This process helps the brain reprocess the memory in a healthier way, reducing its emotional charge and allowing it to be integrated into your overall experience.

Over time, this approach can reduce the emotional impact of the memory, allowing you to feel more at peace with it. Many people find lasting relief from PTSD, childhood trauma, and other deep-rooted emotional issues through EMDR.

 

I provide a safe, grounded space for EMDR therapy, ensuring the process is aligned (in harmony) with your needs and emotional comfort. We will go at a pace that feels right for you, allowing the therapy to unfold in a way that feels both empowering and manageable, so you feel supported throughout your healing journey.

Family Constellation Therapy

Family Constellation is a phenomenological therapy that reveals unconscious dynamics and transgenerational traumas passed down from previous generations. These inherited patterns can affect your life in ways you may not be fully aware of, often manifesting as emotional struggles, relationship issues, addiction, or recurring challenges that seem resistant to change.

In a Family Constellation session, these unconscious dynamics are brought to light, offering insight into how they might be influencing your present experience. By uncovering these hidden influences, the therapy creates an opportunity for healing and change, helping you release old patterns and step into greater personal freedom.

This approach is particularly beneficial for those who feel stuck in repetitive life patterns or are unable to identify the root cause of their difficulties.

Family Therapy

This process helps uncover underlying issues that may be affect the family unit as a whole. By addressing these dynamics, families can develop healthier communication strategies and create a more harmonious environment.

Family therapy can be beneficial for a variety of challenges, including parenting issues, grief, substance abuse, mental health concerns, and major life transitions. The goal is to strengthen family bonds, enhance resilience, and promote emotional well-being for all members, contributing to a healthier family dynamic.

Schedule your first session

Once we’ve connected, you can book your first appointment, whether in-person or via Telehealth, at a time that works for both of us.

Begin Your Therapeutic Journey

If you feel comfortable with me and that we’re a good fit after your first session, we can begin your therapeutic process. In our sessions, we’ll explore different aspects of your life. I’ll ask questions to help deepen your understanding, shift perspectives, and support you on your inner journey.

Due to limited availability, more than 24hrs notice is required if you wish to cancel or reschedule your appointment. If you cancel within this time period, you will be charged the full session fee. If you fail to arrive for your appointment, you will be charged the full fee of the session. Thank you for your understanding.

Health Funds

As a Registered Counsellor, I am affiliated with various health insurance providers that cover counselling sessions, including BUPA, AHM, Medibank and ARHG.
​
Please consult your private health insurance provider to determine if they cover counselling sessions, how much they will cover, and the number of sessions you are eligible for each year. 
​
We do not process rebates directly in the clinic. However, after the payment of your session, I will provide you with an invoice receipt that includes my provider number and the service code. You can use this receipt to claim reimbursement from your private health insurance.
